Making a rainbow cake is so much easier than you think!!
For an 8 layer rainbow cake you need about 1 1/2 x your normal recipe. Once you have this, you remove about 1/4-1/3 of a cup
of batter. Mix it with your desired gel good color. Pour into your prepared pan and bake it for about 1/3 - 1/2 of the time recommended if it was a regular layer.
For the frosting I made a triple batch. With so many layers you need 3x the amount of frosting. Easily.
Once you have all your layers, you start with your bottom layer, place it and your frosting. Keep adding until your layers are complete and you can decorate as desired.
Easy and fun!!
