Dairy free sliced bread
2 eggs
1/4 c diary free milk
3 heaping tbs granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbs cinnamon
1 tbs mandarin zest
juice of 1 mandarin
Whisk eggs until blended. Add all remaining ingredients and whisk until blended together. Soak a piece of bread in the mixture flipping over to make sure totally coated.
Warm a skillet over medium heat. Melt a little dairy free butter in the skillet to melt. Place toast in warm skillet flipping constantly until sides are lightly caramelized and browned.
Let cool for a few minutes then sprinkle with powdered sugar or syrup. Enjoy!!
recipe makes 4 large pieces of toast.
