Brown Sugar Breakfast Cake


For Cake:


1 1/2 c ap flour

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

1/3 tsp ground cloves

1/2 tsp salt

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

2 tbs maple syrup

1 egg

3/4 c dairy free milk

1/2 c packed light brown sugar

2 tbs molasses

2 tbs vegetable oil

1 tsp vanilla


For Icing:

2 c powdered sugar

2 tsp vanilla

2-5 tsp water


Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease and lightly flour a loaf pan.

Combine all ingredients into the bowl of a stand mixer. Mix on slow - medium until throughly combined.


Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool for 15 min then transfer to cooling rack to cool completely.

Mix all ingredients for icing in a separate bowl. Slowly add the water until desired consistency is reached.

Once cool drizzle icing on top.


Slice and enjoy!
